Within North America a pre-paid subscription for one year (two issues, published in June and December):

	For individual subscribers: US $36
	For institutional subscribers: US $55

Traditionally, the Harvard Journal of Asiatic Studies has paid the surface mail postage for all pre-ordered overseas subscriptions. However, the United States Postal Service has eliminated surface mail and now provides only first-class international mail service, at an airmail price.

At the current weight of the Journal, the new international first-class rate is $12 per issue and thus $24 per year. Effective with 2008, we are asking our overseas subscribers to share with us the new postal costs. We are consequently adding to each overseas subscription a shipping charge of $12.

Effective 2008, for overseas, a pre-paid subscription will be:

	For individual subscribers: US $48
	For institutional subscribers: US $67

All pre-paid subscriptions must be ordered and paid for by May 31. Checks should be made payable to the Harvard-Yenching Institute and must be in US dollars drawn on a United States bank.
